Bi-Search International, Inc. (BSI) manages the entire process, from initial design through to the completion. Below is an example of how we build a 10.1-inch TAA-compliant LCD open frame in-house.
What is a TAA-compliant product?
A TAA-compliant product is one that is either manufactured in the United States or substantially transformed in a designated country. BSI proudly provides TAA-compliant options for customers seeking products manufactured in the U.S. or designated countries. Our commitment to quality ensures that all BSI products meet the requirements set by the U.S. government.
BSI’s 10.1-Inch LCD
The 10.1-inch LCD is designed and produced in the U.S. Key components include modules, cables, and electronic boards imported from South Korea, LCD panels and the touch screens sourced from Taiwan, and metal components manufactured in-house. All of these components are combined and fully assembled in the U.S., resulting in a product that is fully TAA-compliant.

We primarily use two machines to produce metal components: PEM Insert Press and CNC Machine-3 Axis.
Production Process for the 10.1-inch LCD
1. Cutting aluminum materials: The first step is preparing all aluminum materials. We design their shape and size, then cut them according to the design.
2. Facing aluminum materials: Machining and surface finishing are applied to the aluminum to ensure smooth, precise surface.
3. Rounding the corners: The corners are ground smoothly and rounded.
4. Drilling holes for PEM inserts: Holes are drilled so that PEM inserts can be installed accurately.
5. Pocket machining: Recessed areas are created in the aluminum parts to accommodate components or allow proper assembly.
6. Edge finishing: The edges are ground to make them smoother.
7. Powder Coating: A paint layer is applied to all aluminum components, enhancing durability and appearance.

8. PEM insertion: The screws are inserted using a PEM insert press.

9. Optical Bonding: Bonding is applied to LCD panels imported from Taiwan, and the bonding process is performed in our U.S. facility.
10. General assembly: The wires from the boards are connected, and the frames, module, and LCD are assembled.
11. Testing: We test the completed product to ensure it functions properly, including screen visibility, lighting, touch responsiveness, and more.
12. Packaging: The product is carefully packaged in-house, ready for shipment.
Some of components are imported from designated countries, while others are manufactured in the U.S. Since all components are fully assembled in the U.S., the product is TAA-compliant. BSI has the proven capability to produce a wide range of TAA-compliant products.
