What is a Transparent Display?

A transparent display is a see-through electronic screen that allows viewers to see the background behind it even when the screen is turned off. Transparent displays help maximize space efficiency and flexibility, while adding aesthetic value and a futuristic look. When paired with a touch option, they also enhance interactivity and engagement, making them even more productive for various applications. Transparent OLED and Transparent LED

Transparent displays come in two main types: Transparent OLED and Transparent LED.

Transparent OLED is a self-emissive display technology that delivers high resolution visuals, deep contrast, and excellent viewing angle. It can be manufactured to be thin and flexible, allowing versatile installation options. Transparent OLED is ideal for premium display applications such as exhibitions, art galleries, luxury retail stores, and interactive installations. Transparent LED delivers direct LED illumination to provide high brightness and outstanding transparency. It is suitable for large scale installations such as shopping malls, metro stations, concerts, and other commercial environments. 

Transparent LED displays are available in two types: Air Mesh and Micro LED.

· Air Mesh: A mesh is created first, and LEDs are then attached to its surface. Air mesh is thin and lightweight, offering excellent brightness and high transparency.

· Micro LED: LEDs are mounted on glass, which is reinforced with an additional glass layer to improve durability and clarity. It delivers high resolution, strong contrast, and exceptional brightness. 

Lusid – BSI’s Transparent Display Series

Lusid is Bi-Search International, Inc (BSI)’s Transparent Display Series. BSI now offers Transparent All-In-One, which is a TOLED open frame available in 30” and 55” size. It can be installed in any application, and a touch option is available upon request.

In the first photo, you can see a Workspace Partition with a Transparent OLED integrated into each divider. When switched off, the display is completely see-through, revealing the background. When turned on, it can be used for advertisements, schedules, weather information, announcements, or any content you wish to display.

The second and third photos show a 30” Transparent OLED Open Frame showcased at the Hospitality Show 2024. Key features include 43% Transparency, PCAP touch, and a modern design. Direct optical bonding is applied, and BSI also provides optical bonding services in the USA, making this product fully TAA-compliant.
